I had a really hard time telling my high school daughter that I had breast cancer because we are all so scared of the “C” word. I knew she would freak out so I stayed really strong when I told her. I let her know I caught it early and that I was going to be ok. I think since I didn’t lose my hair it was easier because I looked the same. I did the genetic testing to make sure I did not have the BRCA gene and that took a weight off my shoulders. Although majority of breast cancers are not hereditary but they are spontaneous.I thought that was really interesting. I’m sure it has something to do with the additives in our food - that is a whole other topic that needs more attention!!!
