I was diagnosed with ILC at age 40 in 2011. No family history. Had a lumpectomy, 6 rounds of chemo, 7 weeks of radiation and 6 years of Tamoxifen. My cancer was located on my side under my armpit - a mammogram didn't catch it, but I had felt a small lump and a sonogram detected it. Grateful to be 13 years out and always here to hold someone's hand through the journey.

I'm happy you posted! It's so encouraging to hear from people who are many years out from diagnosis!
