Alternate nostril breathing is an ancient practice that is effective at getting the body to disengage from the fight or flight response, reducing the heart rate, lowering blood pressure and signaling to the body to relax. ABOUT Ali:
Ali Jacobson is a Registered Yoga Teacher with more than 500 hours of yoga teacher training as well as a personal trainer certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Ali loves practicing and teaching yoga because it reconnects the mind and body in a healing way. She credits yoga with helping her through many of her own health issues.
A resident of the Kansas City area since 1986, Ali lives in Overland Park, where she and her husband raised their two children. She has worked at the Jewish Community Center since 1995.
Ali has a personal connection to breast cancer. Her mother and both grandmothers had breast cancer.
