The Stephanie Vest Foundation, based in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Kansas City-area families facing a cancer crisis. Founded in memory of Stephanie Krider Vest, a mother of three who passed away from cancer at age 34, the foundation provides financial assistance to parents undergoing cancer treatment while raising children at home.
Support includes help with essential expenses such as mortgage or rent, utilities, food, childcare, and transportation, allowing families to focus on healing without the added burden of financial stress. The foundation is unique in that it supports men, women, and children affected by any type of cancer.
Signature community events, including the Pink Friday Trivia Night, help raise funds and awareness. Since its inception in 2008, the foundation has awarded over one million dollars in grants, continuing Stephanie’s legacy of compassion and community support.
