I had 4 weeks of radiation at Menorah with Dr. Koffman. Afterwards I did develop some radiation fibrosis, which improved with PT, and I got a tiny blister on my nipple from the next-to-last treatment, but otherwise it was a breeze. I even missed the staff when it was all done because you kind of get to know each other. Dr. Koffman (and the internet) had warned that radiation can cause the breast to get smaller and higher on the chest (and I do know someone that happened to) but it didn't happen to me. A plastic surgeon I consulted with when I thought I was going to have a mastectomy told me that my skin would never be the same after radiation. Maybe a surgeon can tell the difference, but I can't.
