GREAT Physical Therapist
Hello! I was diagnosed in September of 2021. I did chemo, double mastectomy and radiation. I had reconstruction and threw in an infection and a few things for fun...lol! I have been struggling with neuropathy and right side weakness and pain. I have put A LOT of money and treatments to help. My foot is very painful to walk on and was causing issues since obviously walking in daily life is important...ha! I did needling, PT, chiro, infrared saunas, creams, supplements, custom made foot inserts, planter flascitis items, many tests, many doctors with not much help. My best was a deep tissue massage...I have been to three different PT. My sis started a new PT for neck and shoulder pain so I thought I would try since she raved about him. Ryan Johnson from KC Rehab in Lee's Summit. I drive 45 minutes from Overland Park to go. My first time he took 1.5 hours to evaluate. All others looked at doc notes and did textbook things stated that will help. He went through and LOOKED at my foot. The first day my pain was better. I have had some setbacks, but overall more relieve than I ever have had. I just wanted to share, just in case someone else is going through pain and he could help you too @!
Good to know! Thanks for sharing!!!
Kpitzer02... sorry to hear all these troubles. Sometimes when it rains, it pours. But you sound like a fighter and survivor! I survived breast cancer twice back in the dark ages of treatment resulting in maximum radiation treastments and bilateral mastectomy with nipple recon that didn't work. But I am very alive and kickin'! It's wonderful you posted something of value to others. May this gesture help you feel better too. I had a lot go on, but never neuropathy. I had a little lymphodema in one arm and a good friend was a massage therapist. It really helped! I am sooo glad you found someone who would take the time to figure out appropriate actions for you. Thank you for sharing!
