Hello All!  Looking for a recommendation.  I am caring for an elderly family member who is a 30 year survivor recently diagnosed with a recurrence.  She's made the decision to not undergo chemo and radiation a second time and is living with TNBC.  She is under the care of a local hospice and in good health and spirits, but has not yet been able to connect with others in a similar situation.  Are there any local support groups that would welcome her as a both a listener or participant and allow her to share her experience as well?

@keepchanging, I'm sorry that your family member has experienced a recurrence. I would start with Gilda's Club. They offer a couple online breast cancer groups per month, as well as a lot of other wonderful online and in-person programming. The local health systems may also offer something applicable. You might check the one (KU, HCA, Advent Health, St. Luke's, etc.) she been using for her cancer care. Metavivor, an organization that provides support for patients navigating Stage IV breast cancer, also has a presence in Kansas City. You didn't mention her current staging but I thought I'd let you know about the group anyway. Best of luck to you and your loved one.
