Is it worth it to switch after you're done with treatment

Hi, @screaminmimi. Can you tell us more about your situation? Where did you get your treatment, and where are you thinking of switching to and why? I am wondering if some of your message got cut off. There are a lot of thread tags below your message that I don't see references for in your post. We would love to help you in any way we can!

@janedoe7 I think so. I had triple negative stage 3 diagnosed June of 2022. Had dmx that Feb. Finished treatment with Advent, had diep flap reconstruction through KU Nov 2023. Very happy with that. Not happy with Advent as an institution wondering about switching all of my care to KU would be worthwhile at this point

I would definitely switch. KU has been amazing for my mom. My mom sees Dr. Crane and his staff is wonderful. Her first go round of cancer treatment was at Sarah Cannon. When her cancer returned we switched to KU. The process was very easy. Happy to answer any questions you have.

Hi!

I was diagnosed with Triple Negative in February 2015 and received my treatment through HCA and switched to KU in 2016.  I switched because of the research Dr Sharma has done and continues to do regarding Triple Negative.  Here is a link with some information https://www.bcrf.org/researchers/priyanka-sharma-0/.

I got diagnosed in Sept 21 and I started testing and appt with Advent.  I liked all, but the oncologist was inexperienced so I did a second opinion at KU.  It was a great decision for me.  It did prolong my treatment by two weeks due to KU wanting me to start treatment with them, but I never regretted it
