Hi there. I just wanted to share my experience with occupational therapy. I had a few sessions after my breast surgery & it helped me heal faster & got me ready to have radiation. After I finished radiation I found out that I had tennis elbow which was extremely painful & I went back to OT. When I was getting therapy for my elbow we discovered that I still had a lot of sore areas from my surgery. My therapist helped me with stretches to help that too. Hi there, agree, PT/OT is truly helpful. I started recently for radiation fibrosis and nerve impingement from cording before radiation. The PT discovered areas I didn’t even realize were an issue. I’m glad I didn’t just accept my limitations and pain as “normal” and pushed for PT. Hopeful for continued improvement!

I had OT for cording and radiation fibrosis too. I believe I have said it somewhere else on here, but I tried to DIY my cording using YouTube videos while waiting to get in, and not only was it not helping, the OT later told me I was doing the exact opposite of what I should have been doing. Apparently they used to be rough with cords, and now they are gentle with them. She must have been right, because she helped me a TON! Trying to find where the latest grocery discount winner is listed to say Congrats! Also wanted to give Julie Rudman some love/Kudos at getting Hen House to sponsor this! I was a recipient in August and it was easy to use and Hen House staff were wonderful to do it. My husband is on my card and they also honor it when he made a purchase. I was diagnosed almost two years ago with breast cancer and had 28 radiation treatments following surgery. One product that helped me more than anything was the Aquaphor spray, which I put on after I went to Menorah. Towards the end of my treatments, my skin was dark red, and this was a great way to heal the burn and help soothe my skin. I would highly recommend this spray as it is available in stores and on Amazon, and it's much better than rubbing on a cream or an ointment, which can be painful.
