Yoga kept me calm

I had been doing yoga for a few years before I was diagnosed with cancer, so luckily the practice was already in place when I needed it. Although I had to modify the poses when I was going through treatment, I got on my yoga mat regularly and did what I could and it helped me stay calm. A few times I did nothing but lie down on my mat for a while because even that made me calm. At least a half dozen times, I randomly started crying at the end of the class. I don't know enough about yoga to say what that was about, but it was a great release.
